Spent the last seven days traveling so this newsletter is both short and late :)
It is a collection, a curation, a catalog, a digital bouquet, if you will, of irises. Specifically, irises I took notice of while in New York, organized from most to least strict interpretation.

Hope you enjoyed this very narrow glimpse of my weekend via only iris related imagery. I hadn’t thought about these specific flowers much until buying myself a bouquet of impossibly purple ones a few weeks ago. Since then I keep noticing them. For example, the Temperance card has been haunting me in a few readings lately, and just the other day I realized the flowers behind the angel were irises.
Temperance combines the elements of fire and water, creating perfect balance. Like The Star, they stand with one foot in the water, and one on the ground - present in both the collective unconscious and the physical world. The irises in the back (which are sometimes used for water purification) symbolize peace, hope, wisdom, and trust. This card reminds us to find our balance, come back to center, combine different elements of our lives rather than separate them, exercise patience, and live in moderation. The figure encourages us to hope and to try.
If you, like me, have found yourself a little up and down, out of sorts, all over the place lately, take a deep breath with me and we can inch back toward our place of balance together.
Cheers to the pursuit of moderation,
Happy SUNDAY,
Jordan
